The balloon was launched at 7:40 local time on August, 28, 2005.

After a initial ascent phase of 2 hours and 45 minutes, ascending at a average speed of 310 meters per minute it reached the float altitude of 51.5 kms.

The cutdown command was transmited when the flight was at 141º 56' N - 39º 45' W coordinates, the balloon was destroyed and the payload landed on the sea by parachute.

This was the second flight of this type of balloon made of super thin material, and the first one used to conduct scientific research, after a technological flight in 2002 that set a new altitude record.
