Purpose of the flight and payload description

The NAUSICAA gondola transported three experiments onboard:

- CNES tested a special built winch for hanging payloads, and installed onboard an Albedometer to measure the solar flux reflection in the sea surface.
- Imperial College of London performed an astronomical experiment in the X-Ray domain.

Additionaly, the flight served for the qualification of the balloon used in this mission, measuring 600.000 cubic meters of volume.
